SAN ANTONIO, Texas, Dec. 14, 2019 – Commercial real estate developer and owner Koontz Corp. sold Savannah Oaks, a 332-unit, Class A apartment complex in San Antonio. The buyer of the three-year-old apartment was Sherman Residential. Will Balthrope, Jordan Featherston and Drew Garza of Institutional Property Advisors, represented the seller.

Koontz opted to build the complex on 21.6 acres at 14614 Vance Jackson Rd. because of demand for residential product in the northwest San Antonio submarket, especially when UTSA Boulevard was extended in 2004. “We . . . built the San Miguel and then followed up that project with Palomino Phase I in 2009 and Palomino Phase II in 2011,” said Bart Koontz. “This has been a very familiar, successful market area for us.”

Savannah Oaks offers one and two-bedroom units in 12 three-story buildings. Amenities include a resort-style pool with tanning ledge and outdoor kitchen, poolside lounge, fitness center and clubhouse.
