Alex Thompson is a Associate Agent at Institutional Property Advisors where he facilitates brokerage operations across the Austin MSA with a focus on institutional and value add multifamily investment sales. Alex previously lead the Central and South Texas team for MMG Real Estate Adviosrs where he oversaw the full lifecycle of client engagements—from underwriting and marketing to negotiation and closing—while managing communication between clients, lenders, title companies, and equity partners. Alex also played a key role in mentoring associate advisors and contributing to the firm’s strategic growth in the region.

With a background that spans investment advisory, market research, and financial analysis, Alex is known for delivering data-driven insights and seamless execution on complex transactions. He began his career as a credit analyst intern at City National Bank in Los Angeles.

Alex holds a degree in Business Administration with emphases in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Colorado Boulder. Prior to college, Alex received nominations to the United State Naval Academy and United States Military Academy.
