IPA Texas is pleased to announce the exclusive listing of Threadgill’s Austin Institutional Development Site, a 0.95-acre, shovel-ready site located on North Lamar Boulevard in Austin, TX. Threadgill’s Land Site was previously home to Threadgill’s North Location, an iconic food and music venue built in the early 1930’s serving as a link between the new Austin and its past. The site is zoned for (transient-oriented-development) and approved for 101 multifamily units and 1,000 square feet of retail space. Due to the historic nature of the original Threadgill’s venue, the current development plans include restoring the Threadgill’s structure into a leasing office and common area to preserve the venue that is most famous for hosting Janice Joplin and many others.
The site benefits from a premier, central location in North Austin with quick access to downtown and numerous employment and entertainment drivers. Austin has experienced extraordinary growth in recent years, with many new developments expanding from the urban core to North Austin. Future residents will enjoy upscale and modern amenities, in addition to proximity to a plethora of eateries, bars, and retail.
